Poll measured attitudes toward wind energy

Green Business News – Oct. 29 - According to a survey commissioned by the Canadian Wind Energy Association Seventy 5% of Quebec inhabitants would like the province continue developing wind energy after the year 2015. Quebecers want this source of green and renewable energy provides important economic benefits and further develop its wind energy expertise.

The survey was conducted by the firm Leger marketing between the 12th and 14th of Oct. polled 1,000 Quebecers aged 18 and up. The survey pointed to Quebecers' attitude toward wind energy is increasingly improving.

Robert Hornung president of CanWEA said that survey sent a clear message to political decision maker that Quebecers want Quebec to continue to develop wind energy after 2015 and to position itself as a global leader in this area as it has already done with hydroelectricity.
